How to Refresh a Job Listing

It is important to keep your active job listings fresh when hiring for a position where the search lasts beyond a month. When a job listing has been active for more than 30 days, application flow typically slows down as job seekers are less likely to apply.

Refreshing a job listing is a method used to keep your job listing active and collecting candidates at a healthy rate when the ad begins to age.

  1. First, unpublish the old job: navigate to the engin dashboard and click into the job listing that you would like to refresh.

  2. Click the Settings tab, and then click Unpublish Job.  The job has been deactivated, but you will keep all of the candidate data intact for the future.
  3. Next, duplicate the job: navigate to the engin dashboard again and locate the job listing that you deactivated.
  4. Click the Duplicate icon to the far right of the job listing.  This will create a copy of the job listing containing all of the job description, setup information, and any screening questions.
  5. Lastly, publish the new job: click into the new, duplicate version of the job listing.
  6. Click the Settings tab, and then click Unpublish Job.  The job has been activated and will send a new feed to all job boards.
